October 25, 2003 By: Mark Harris Voicemail, totally free voicemail paging, will team with MSN to deliver content to alphanumeric pagers nationwideTotally Free Paging.com Inc. announced today at CTIA's Wireless 2000 that they would team with MSN to provide MSN Mobile Service content to alphanumeric pagers throughout the United States. The agreement between the two companies allows more than 56 million users of the MSN Hotmail service to receive their email, top-rated MSNBC news and MoneyCentral personal finance information on their one-way alphanumeric pagers. The MSN Mobile Service is highly customizable, allowing users to receive personalized information when and where they need it. Consumers can customize the services on MSN Mobile's Web site (http://mobile.msn.com/) and choose among a long list of content provided MSN to receive national, international, political, business and technology news, horoscopes, lottery results, stock quotes, sports results and much more, delivered to the users' pager at any specified time. ``By teaming up with MSN, we're able to provide our users with personalized Internet content designed to serve their needs,'' said Baden Gilmore President of Totally Free Paging.com, Inc. ``Our goal is to enable everyone to be informed of the information important to them when they need it.'' ``Totally Free Paging's extensive nationwide coverage extends MSN Mobile Service to even more consumers, providing the information they need any time, anywhere and from any device,'' said Yusuf Mehdi, director of marketing in the Consumer Group at Microsoft Corp. Totally Free Paging.com additionally announced the signing of a letter of intent to partner with eSavingsCenter, which operates eCoupons and eRebates, a leading provider of online targeted coupon technology to develop a co-branded eCoupons. Recently, eSavingsCenter signed a $5.7 million strategic agreement with MapQuest, the leading provider of online destination information solutions for businesses and consumers. Totally Free Paging.com provides free paging content to its users by supporting it with advertising revenues. It provides 4 line alphanumeric pagers at reduced prices to encourage users to switch from simple numeric units to its ``message'' pagers. There is no charge for basic services which include what is known in the trade as ``unified messaging''. In exchange for viewing ads which are demographically targeted to the recipient and which precede each page, users can choose from among a large list of content from various web sites and can additionally receive email, voicemail (in the form of wave files) and faxmail on their pagers. All email, faxmail and voicemail is stored on the Totallyfreepaging.com web site) for 30 days, allowing the user to click on his messages and retrieve them instantly. The pager, email, faxmail and voicemail will all have the same number, in most cases toll free, making it easy for the recipient to keep in touch since he need not give out a host of numbers to those trying to contact him. DSI Technology, Inc., the parent corporation, has developed DigiTrax, a proprietary communications billing software, which when combined with the Company's Internet routers, allows Totally Free Paging.com to not only target ads demographically, but bill them correctly to the advertising sponsors. The Company can target ads all the way down to the users area code and prefix, thus allowing for ``virtual coupons'' -- i.e. discounts on fast food items when shown to the cashier. Unlike banner ads which can be ignored, paging ads must be read if the page is to be received, and if the page is stored in memory, the ad is reviewed multiple times. DSI also will be providing similar service to two-way pagers, cell phones and PDA devices.
